Shrikanth’s boundless passion for the natural world and his exceptional depth of knowledge have made him an integral part of the Bagh Villas team since our inception. Inseparable from the outdoors from a young age, Shrikanth spent many years observing various facets of nature, eventually leading a number of wildlife photography tours across forests in the Western Ghats as well as volunteering with the Karnataka Forest Department and conducting nature education programmes for children.
Shrikanth has also contributed to wildlife documentaries such as Little Planet – A Tale of Frogs and Kappe Raaga – The Song of the Kumbara Night Frog as a naturalist, helping bring attention to some of India’s lesser-known and often overlooked species. His role involved closely observing amphibian behaviour; guiding film crews on what behaviour to document, while also advising them on how to approach and film sensitive species with minimal disturbance to their natural habitat.
